I would like to build a LSA something like a cub almost entirely out of fiberglass and foam cores. As far as I know no plans exsit for such a plane. The spars, ribs, fuselage, skin, etc. would all be of fiberglass and foam core where needed. This would likely require a set of plans for such a plane that was originally intended to be built of wood or metal, at least so things end up in the right place and position, then all the parts would be substituted accordingly. I do intend to load test the structures with sand bags, and I am proficient in fiberglass and composite construction. For power a converted VW direct drive would be my first choice. Supposing I meet required strength and weight what other problems or possible 'deal breakers' might I encounter along the way.
