Hi All,
I am considering repainting the N-numbers on a Davis DA2A. Currently the numbers are very large on the side of the plane. The top of the plane has flat sides as well and I believe would support the required number size. My question is, could I legally put the numbers up there instead of on the side? They would still be visible from the ground, and would be the correct height, but it allows some flexibility to do other designs on the bigger surface area of the side.

Thoughts?

Thanks
