This is a Quick drawing of what i had in mind
when i was planning on building my own rotorblades a few months back.
the blueish colors are 1/8" aircraft quality plywood . the other wood is aircraft quality spruce , or perhaps Ash .....
i figured on spaceing the "Spredders" about 8" to a foot appart ( the wood between the leading edge and trailing edge under the plywood )
all connections are of the Glue and screw varity....
and then covered with a single layer of fiberglass cloth .
I havn't built these rotors and probly won't now, as I am favoring the alumim extruded blades at vortech .com
Other plans for blades i have seen look alot like these ...
....
For what its worth
