EAA News - California Bill to Make Independent Instructors Follow Part 141 Rules

This is nothing short of insane - I have a friend who runs a small flight school and has spent probably a year and I don't know how many thousands of dollars getting Part 141 certification. There is no way on earth a freelance, independent instructor will be able to deal with this. Putting the same regulatory burden of a guy who meets you at the airport and teaches you to land a Cub without bouncing needs to be regulated to the same degree as Stanford University?? It says the deadline for public comment is June 7th - 3 days from now. I only just came across this. Good luck in trying to change this in three days.

I am seriously re-considering spending time and money working on my CFI.

I am thinking more and more Richard Bach's FAA-Outlaws are the only chance aviation has! (Google it and read the story -it's great.)
