I met a gentleman who is selling his CH 601XLb due to poor health. He is
an A&P and has over 2000 hours and $30k into it. He just wants it to go to
a good home with someone who will complete and fly it.
The aircraft is well over 90% done, built from component kits, and ready
to go the the airport for final assembly and testing, with some avionics
and engine stuff to hook up. It has a Lycoming O-235 with about 600 hours
since factory ReMan. Dynon EFIS, ADSB out, transponder, nav/com, and Li
battery. It seems complete except for paint, and all the AD's are done. It
is located in Washington State. I think it can be had for under
US$15k.
I was interested until my MD-RA inspector from Transport Canada said I
would have to open everything that had been closed for inspection. The
only other option was to register it as Basic Ultralight.
Anyone interested can ask me for the contact details. Someone is going to
get a smoking deal.
I am also interested in personal salvation, if anyone wants to ask.
Thanks,
CA
