I was in Dallas this week. There was a news story about a plane mishap. It seems a 69 year old gentleman had been building a homebuilt seaplane for several years. He had just recently completed it. He took off from a local airport and planed on making his first float landing.
However, he forgot to raise the gear into the floats. The plane flipped on its back. He only received a few scratches. The news report said nothing about the condition of the plane or his pride. Even though it was his fault, I can’t help but feel sorry for the guy. What a way to end years of construction.
