I'd like to give a shout out to Talos Avionics. They had a 50% off sale on Boxing Day so I ordered their top of the range Efis. It got to Australia by DHL then got lost when handed over to Australia Post. DHL said they will take care of the claim and that Talos would either reimburse me or replace the unit.
I didn't want to be reimbursed as I only paid 50% so was worried they may not give that discount again. Talos then contacted me and explained they have never had an item lost before so it wasn't insured and that they grossly undervalued it so I would avoid customs issues; in other words they wouldn't be reimbursed.
Despite this they have sent me another unit.
So nice to deal with a company with that sort of integrity.
