There have been several references to Woody Woods' Quail on various threads here. A friend built one, and flew it trouble-free for over 1,000 hours. About all he had to do was periodically replace a plastic fuel line on the VW's carburetor. My friend has passed away, and his Quail is in a museum.

It is a great looking airplane, and could look even better with a Jabaru engine, because the Jabaru could be further forward, which would make the fuselage more streamlined. Plus the added HP would make it a real climber and significantly reduce the takeoff roll. Larger wheels would go nicely with the longer fuselage.

Anyone here building or flying an Aerosport Quail?
