I live in Hart, Michigan on the edge of Lake Michigan. I'm 52, army vet, worked on cobra helicopters in the service and have an airframe license. I drive truck hauling fuel for a living and twist wrenches on cars and trucks on the side. I don't fly but have had enough stick time to get a plane or helicopter in the air and back to the ground in one piece although it's been 30 years since I've flown.

My plans are to take lessons and get a glider ratting this summer. I would like to build a simple ultralight glider to fly from the field next to my house with a winch launch built from a scooter like the hang glider guys use.

If I upgrade to a powered rating I'm going to look for a used home built or build something but I'm not sure what I want yet. Glad to be here. Brian
