Worked on a Diamond today.....had to remove the wing to replace the fuel level sensor....like one of those electronic sensors everybody seems to want.

The story is some fuel was stolen and the cap was left off and water got into the tank and shorted out the fuel sensor.

Seems to be a poor design if water in the fuel will ruin the fuel sensor, not the mention having to remove the wing to replace it.

Probably a very expensive job.

Any thoughts?
