Hey all, my name is Matt, and I'm building a KR2. I started the project several years ago, and made a lot of progress. Last year I moved up to Rochester, NY, and only had space to bring the engine with me, which I've been rebuilding (slower than I'd like!) and working on the rest of it on weekends when I visit the plane, which (for now) lives in PA. I received my PPL in 2016, although I haven't been able to make much use of it. I work on a hardware/flight engineering team and, as the team's only pilot, I end up riding shotgun for a lot of test flights. I work pretty close to the Rochester airport (ROC), and I'd love to meet any builders in the area to talk about your projects. If you're interested in what I'm working on, you can check out my blog at http://kr2pilot.blogspot.com/ , which I used to update all the time; it's been stagnant recently, as I've been doing a lot of unrelated projects for the past few months, but I hope to get back into the swing of things very soon.
