Beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder when it comes to aircraft color schemes. So here is a thread with a simple premise: share photos of non-military aircraft color schemes that you like to provide inspiration to homebuilders. I have specified "non-military" color schemes as replica warbird color scheme would easily a whole thread. And "light aircraft" because while photos of of 747s painted up as orcas are neat, we don't have that much surface area to work with.

I'll start us off. Personally, I find that I like the simple schemes of the 1920s-1930s "Golden Age," often using silver-doped or cream wings and tail surfaces and bright colors on the fuselage. Here are a nice Clutton FRED from New Zealand that captures that style well despite being of more recent vintage and a classic original Miles Hawk for those that prefer low wings.
