Ive been looking at some places to fly my phantom X ultralight in the Charleston/Summerville area and haven't had any luck yet. My #1 location I would LOVE to fly out of is the Mt. Holly (SC98) turf strip that is across the street from me. I have tried to contact the owner because its listed as private but have had no success in getting a hold of him.
Ive looked at Holly Hill (5J5) and that is probably my second best choice due to airspace and possibility of storing my aircraft in a hanger but I haven't been able to find out if there is anyone who can share a space. I will most likely have to call and ask around up there if there is such availability.
It would be nice to find someone with an ultralight as well around here that I can fly with. I know of a few EAA clubs (I'm a member, just not apart of a chapter), but they are kinda far from me.
Is there anybody in this forum that is located near Charleston?
