I have had two Kawasaki 440A engines in my FP-101 since last January. The first had a bearing failure and I sent it in to be rebuilt. That engine seemed to run strong with no missing issues. The engine that came back was essentially all new. It has had an ongoing issue with missing. I replaced the entire electrical system trying to eliminate it. It didn't make any difference. the only thing that seemed to help was frequently changing the plugs. They never looked fouled but it would often run well for an hour or two once they were changed and then slowly the missing would creep back in. I decided to try a hotter plug. That was a mistake. Although CHT looked good, I burned a piston and lost compression the other day. I'm going to replace the cykinder this weekend and inspect the other closely. The good cylinder still has 130lbs of compression. Not sure what else to try. Gone from one end of mixture to the other. .340 to 360 main jets. Anyone else experience anything like this. 3rd carb. New Fuel pump. ???????
