I thought that a used radio I had installed in my Zenith 701 was defective so ordered a replacement one. While I was rewiring the radio harness in order to make the one or two changes necessary for the new radio, I noticed an error on my part in the original wiring harness. Before I made the radio exchange, I decided to try the original radio one more time. It worked perfectly. That being said, I now have a brand new radio I don't need. I could save it for my next project, but I think the best thing to do is sell it. It is still in the plastic wrapper with included unused DB15 connector and shroud. The only thing I have done is read the owners manuel for the wiring schematic. It was purchase last month and has a year warranty. If installed by a certified avionics shop the warranty begins at installation. If installed by the builder, the warranty begins with the dale of original sale which was 11/9/2015.
