would it be safe to run a rotax 582 with 280 hours on it for a few hours before overhauling it?
Anything one should looks for or do before starting it?

looks like this engine may be 18 years old too so would age affect it at all,

I know more about 4 stroke engines and might be leary of an 18 year old continetal with only 280 hours on it as it must have spent time sitting and rusting is this the same for 2 strokes?

Thanks
