I took a Aronica champ with a 10 foot wing span and mounted a garden brand weedeater engine of the 18cc size and machined a prop extintion to reach out beyond the cowling. the motor is mounted inverted and spins a 18 inch prop and by god the toy flys great, runs very quiet and has been a long time flyer. If a builder scaled this up to the UL area my guess about 15-25 hp it would be a good project. Not sure of a engine maybe a single cylinder snowmobile, I think a 440 2 cylinder would be ok also.
