My Thatcher CX 5 plans arrived yesterday. I'm serial number 26. After supper I took them downstairs and laid them out on my work table and started to really peer through them. I started to get the overwhelming feeling of, "what did I get myself into" that I guess comes from a first time builder trying to ingest it all at once. Having never built an aircraft before I guess (I'm hoping) that is normal. I've built RC models in my younger days and used to get the same feeling. I got the same feeling back when I bought my old army truck but then focused on one bolt at a time and things worked out. So, I packaged everything up and am going to sit back and take it more slowly and concentrate only on the small picture. The manaul has you build a 12' work table first, so that is going to be my first attention. Good thing is, I looked over the required tools list, and probably 85% of it I already own.

If anyone has any tips or tidbits on how to start the ball rolling I'd really apreciate anything you can throw at me.
