I have a question regarding mixed construction methods.
Say you have a composite D shape leading edge back to the main spar. Aft of the spar is open ribs, back to a rear spar or trailing edge. The aft section is covered by shrunk Dacron fabric.

How would one adhere the fabric to the composite D section?
Would the standard covering adhesive work?
How smooth a transition could be made between the two?

I'm interested in this for an ultralight aircraft wing, to utilize the strength of composites and the open, lightweight construction of the rest of the wing.

I appreciate any advice.
