Yes, I have used the search function, but have not seen an answer to this specific question.

When 'playing' with different configurations (in XFLR5) I find that it is difficult or impossible to get the typical static marign (5%-10%) with an acceptable lateral damping coefficient.

If I make the static margin between 5 and 10, then the damping is way to low, and I have even seen some negative values.

If I make the damping acceptable (shooting for 0.20 to 0.25) then the static margin is high (25% to 32%, or there about).

Assuming there is enough elevator authority to hold the plane in a stall in ground effect (as Orion used to say), is there an upper limit on the static margin?
