My 13 year old wants to give sailplanes a try. I signed him up for a ride next weekend at an airport not far from us. We kindof know the lady who runs the club there. Well, she knows us from our stopping in on our quest for a $100 hamburger, which takes us to this grass strip about once a month. I'm hoping he likes it and wants to continue. He likes flying and I've taught him some skills in our 150. I know not a glider but hoping it will help him.

Is there a 1-26 type homebuilt sailplane kit or plans out there anyplace? I think a sailplane would make a great 1st homebuilt...
