EAA and the Airventure Cup Race

So EAA has pulled their relationship with the Airventure Cup race with little explanation.

I am personally very disappointed as I see EAA becoming more and more like AOPA with some of the same misguided distractions while also exerting more and more control over things near it like the DC-3 mass arrival last year or the year before.

Any thoughts?
