Foam and aluminum wing?

Has anyone done a solid blue foam core wing(Rutanesque) bonded to an aluminum skin with maybe aluminum spars? I think that this would be very easy, hardly any finish work, cheap, strong, etc. Any thoughts or suggestions about how this might be successfully done?
