Cowling / prop support advice wanted.

I'm playing with the idea of using the cowling as a support for the propeller. It would work if build out of cast aluminium but weight rules out that solution. A few layers of carbon, honeycomb, and again a few layers of carbon is a possible solution. I can use an autoclave nearby. Any thoughts?
