I called a friend who is building a newer version of this same kit (RV-7) and there seems to be a change in design in the 2 kits. Mine has an older RV-6 end spar and his has another part for the -7. I haven't found anyone on the web that has done this trimming which is supposedly required on my part. Here is the detail:

Should I trim this like the detail says? Should I call Vans and get the HS-706?

Anyone?
