I've been thinking and training for pilot's license for some time. And my general feeling is that a fraction of the pilot community tend to be emotionally tempermental people. I passed my written with an 87. But I just don't feel a sense of trust. I would have to rely on many people to keep my plane safe etc. I don't mind the training. I just don't like the people aspect. I'm not a loner. I've been a cashier and cook for 10 years and an instructor/tutor/grader. I thought the bicycle club was bad. I feel that a grudge could get bad enough that someone would do something wrong with my aircraft in storage. My car gets a flat tire on occasion and I don't even have any justified enemies.
