    All the airplanes I had were not much fun with the engine off. And I couldn't fish from them. My boats are usually serviceable without power, and put dinner on the table (5 in the shed, another under construction). I'm good flying someone else's airplane, for now.

    It would be difficult to discuss the project's merits (good or bad) without some discussion of discipline. HBA exists, in part, to educate. I do agree that critique of processes, mental and otherwise, can occur without personal attacks.

    Noted and acknowledged. I would not buy a Viking engine, not because of performance and reliability. I'll leave it at that.

    Worth noting that Voyager flew most of it's circumnavigation on the rear engine.

    Several twin airplanes were manufactured and sold with 160 hp engines... not sure how comparable they would be to Velocity. I got my multi in a Twin Comanche. I was able to fly the pattern on one engine, but can't remember trying to climb on one with gear down.
