  • Hi there...
I am based in the UK but interested in finding out about building a plane under French RSA sign-off as it appears as if the UK LAA won't sign the plane build off.
Do you know much about the rules and requirements and what can and can't be built in France?
Would be keen to know as I suspect I might need to become an honourary Frenchman for biulding purposes :)
    Thanks

    Good morning,

The question is a bit broad but I'll try answering as best as I can.
Most people here in France tend to build certified planes either in kit or following blueprints. But basically any light aircraft can be built (people build ultra lights and "regular" light aircraft). The registration of the aircraft is fairly straight forward once you have a few certificates.

If you are talking about building a completely new design then I don't know what the process is.

And I'm not sure if I got your question right. Do you want to build it in France or just register the plane in France ? Either way I'm not sure if it's possible. You might want to get in contact with the RSA, they might be able to tell you more about the process.
