    The Sprat 103

And these plans are amazing, so clear and simple! https://d2t1xqejof9utc.cloudfront.net/files/7308/Fighter.pdf?1330524319

    The Sprat 103

I found them myself, they belong to the Phantom Aero. Max gross weight 760 lbs, wich is almost double of the spratt. And those two load test pictures next to eacht other might be a bit misleading because we don't know what's in the weight bags. When i look at the Phantom aero, the wings seem to...

Lemans, Are there any plans for sale of those wings you show with all the bags on top? I'd like to examine those plans (just for the wings)

    The Sprat 103

The two 3,98 meter aluminum tubes in each wing are parallel with a bit over 100mm distance between them. I believe they are located on the thickest part of the NACA 23112 profile. I must admit the wing plans are missing some "overview" drawing to see where what part should come. As far as I can...

    The Sprat 103

Since I'm not that experienced with airplane construction, I can't judge on the airworthy-ness of these wings. I've thought about maybe using another wing design that has proven itself already. I do like the XPS ribs though, since they are much faster to make than wood ribs. Combined with...

    The Sprat 103

I think it weighs 36 kgs but I don't remind wether it's with or without prop. When I have to take off the engine to finish some upside down welds, I'll post the exact weight here

    The Sprat 103

I'm sorry but I really can't tell how many hours I've put into this. Just look at good pictures from the spratt and count the cuts and welds... It's not that complicated to build. I'm a student so I'm not at home during weeks. Plus I have a beautiful girlfriend whom I liked to spend time with...

    The Sprat 103

    - I have sent my first email to Bernard about 3 years ago. Since then, I got updated plans every now and then. He always said the plans would "soon" be completed, soon turned ut to be 3 years but I don't mind. From the last .rar files I downloaded in january, they are complete. I started...

    The Sprat 103

I've checked it today an the weight of everything you see in the picture is 86 kgs. I might make things a bit lighter by making changing a few bolted tubes (the long one from front wheel to middle wing support) from 2mm thickness to 1,5mm. Most tubes have to be 1.5mm according to the plans, but...

    The Sprat 103

Since I'm a student, i live in my university city during the week. I'll post all the info you asked on saturday.

    The Sprat 103

I don't know if this is a helpfull post (I haven't read this entire discussion about wether the spratt 103 exists or not) but I have bought plans, I got them mailed and I started constructing and this is what I have now. I hope these pictures can give you some ideas. I find it fun to...

    Aluminum Prop Hub?

I have machined and used an aluminum prop hub out of T6061 aluminum. Works fine by me... It's quite beefy but I can always take away some excess material.

    Propeller issue

We did both measurement several times, everytime with the same result. I even weighed myself a couple of times but the scale was right everytime. His carraige is an actual ultralight aircraft cariage, weighing about 70 kgs max. My carriage had the lower gocart engine too so total weight would be...

    Propeller issue

Not the same gocart. Mine has 4 gocart wheels, his one has 3 wheelbarrow wheels. Tests were done a few minutes apart on the same location. Both rev counters were Tinytach digital tachometers.

    Propeller issue

Hi There. Today I did a propeller test with some different props to find the ideal prop for my engine. At one point, my engine ran 3480 RPM and gave 76 kgs (170 pounds) of thrust with a certain prop (dimensions unknown, somewhere around 16 pitch, dia 48). When my friend tried the very same...
