Long time private pilot who is now early retired
Former Mooney owner that is now interested in trying my hand at a homebuilt aircraft.
I built Nuclear Power Plants across the world while working for Westinghouse Nuclear nearly 17 years until early retiring, and spent about half my working life living outside the continental US.
I designed and built machines early in my career but have continued to design and innovate in metal and wood.
I have a metal lathe, mill, mig welder, AC/DC TIG welder that can weld aluminum, stainless, and carbon steel. For woodworking, I have all manner of saws, router, drill presses, belt sander, etc

I believe I need a barn find cheap if I am to fly again. A gyro or KR2 perhaps. Must my wife and I, so a smaller two place plane or a single barn find gyro if that gets me into the air. I can overhaul Lycoming engines, mags, etc,
- Past Projects
I purchased Osprey II plans with some of the wood and other materials, then took a long term overseas position and would be gone for five years. I gave plans and materials to a friend. Now retired, and on SS disability I believe I need a barn find cheap if I am to fly again. A gyro or KR2 perhaps.
