    Concepts only: Doodles without numbers

What's the floor to roof around the pax seats? Looks like a pretty big conventional craft. Large bore 6 cyl? Pax look way aft of CG.

Sidestick control vs control yoke vs panel-mounted control wheel

Still think double side sticks is a viable idea. You can use both hands, put your knee against either side to switch hands. I built a mock up of this and it felt so comfy and intuitive. Two seat planes already went there. For a single seat cockpit is just makes sense. Tiny weight penalty if the...

Money for nothing and your lift for free

Joby Aviation started out as a business that was flying kites to generate electricity. This got them to building autonomous flight and electric motors for propulsion and regeneration. That lead to building eVTOL. From what I can tell they have abandoned the kite generator. Why I don't know...

EAA No Longer Has Free SolidWorks

Got it. Just went to the MS site and started downloading latest versions of missing link libraries and suffered through. Runs now. Sooooooo user friendly :)

That just got me to the next .dll that it couldn't find. What forum are you looking at? I tried to find reference to these sorts of issues last night to no avail.

Acceptable Fiberglass Suppliers for Aircraft Construction

How did I not find Soller. They are a pretty short drive from here. Thanks BOKU! I smell a road trip. Have you used that 820 RTC epoxy system? Sounds really good for what I am doing and the price is similar to everything else I've tried. I'll get a gallon and see how it does.

Yeah, I'll try a download under extreme openness :) I have had similar problems with other fringy software... Truth is I use W10 security pretty much as is. I have a hardware firewall in my router which seems to work well.

Tried that, tried both downloads for windows, stable and daily. I get the same error for some missing .dll file . Oh well.

That realthunder branch just isn't running for me. I managed to install openfoam in the official release. Would be nice to go to this new interface. But no joy here. Moving on.

I'll try again. I think I tried to install the ASM3 first. I'll get it. My software engineer wife laughs at me when I can't deal with Github :)

So far I have been unsuccessful installing the realthunder branch or any follow ons like ASM3

Yup, I'm in the same boat. Linux does a better job in a multi processor environment than windows. But I can't go there. Don't want any more dual boot and multiple computers for multiple uses in my life. Win 11. I won't be an early adopter and my current monster machine is Xeon based. High end...

EAA No Longer Has Free SolidWorks

If it is just as simple as reinstalling #10 on the list then they need some work on their instructions in Github... I just spent some time figuring out how to hook up OpenFoam to FreeCAD. That wasn't too bad because the instructions weren't in Github I guess.
