Love it - now you have me thinking, do I really need both my kidneys - or is flying a great aircraft more important and it can be done with just one😂 Cheers

I think learning to use a CNC would be easier than learning a CAD program to put on the CNC. I have taken a couple of stabs a FreeCad o_O... following Ytubr vid,,,I did that step why is mine not working:mad:

Why battery-powered aircraft will never have significant range

I have no problem with Nuclear power -- as long as legislation brings in the mandate that every house in the 20 mile area gets retrofitted with a free heavy water swimming pool... just think, it wont freeze in the winter time, once you get your radioactive waste deposit that is🤣.

Why battery-powered aircraft will never have significant range

Haver a read - E-Flyer 800 - "up to 575 miles, with 45 minutes of reserve battery charge for its motors, and an operational ceiling of 35,000 feet. The plane is projected to have a speedy ascent of up to 3,400 feet per minute, cruise at 322 mph, and reach 368 mph. Bye said that puts it among the...

Why battery-powered aircraft will never have significant range

It is amazing how we let 10% of our habits rule over 90% of our choices. I am right there with you on that. Put 6k$ into new Polini or go with an electric diy rig. Currently training so to hasten the solo criteria I am keeping my ICE. But than, thinking I could then go to electric after...

Why battery-powered aircraft will never have significant range

Electric is here to stay and will only get better over the years to come - Trillions of $ are being poured into research for the goose that will lay the golden egg, Holy Grail..... of battery tech so you know if the big money people are in it, it will happen. We will need to stick with 30-45min...

Tillotson 212cc and 225cc on efficient ultralights?

Where did you get your pricing from ? I only see the Kart package price on their website. I currently have an old Simonini 202 -- might be interested in going with their 225 and keeping the 202 as a backup. Should do fine pushing my light trike with my soaring Solairus 17m wing....I...

What was the first airplane you flew in and how old ?

1st was CH-47 Chinook Helicopter -- It was when I was in the Reserves - Borden, 1984 if memory serves me. 2nd was also with the reserves -- flew out of Trenton up to Sudbury in a Hercules, I think in 85, all a little blurry now. I do remember it was a bumpy ride and was hard to hold down the...

What could be done to reinvent the Affordaplane to a more homogeneous project?

Thats great for your area i guess -- Here in Toronto Canada area we can pay 150 a month just to trailer to a runway and use it. Jokingly, why is it that is it always the "serious flyers" that money never seems to be an issue. I would think they need to be rebranded as: lucky flyers I got a...
