    Current / Future projects:
I am co-designing with a friend, Jean-Pierre Brossard, a wood-carbon aircraft. We hope this will be the lightest human piloted, conventional 3 axis rigid aircraft ever built. Other than its extreme light weight of 31 kilos empty, takeoff weight of 120 kg, this aircraft is to be highly conventional
    Past Projects:
A light hovercraft. My co-designer Jean-Pierre is a very experienced homebuilder, who has successfully built several aircraft including a Jodel, and is currently building a Pereira GP4.
I live in Paris, France. I'm both french and american. I studied aeronautics at MIT under Mark Drela, but I didn't use any of it for about 20 years and I am trying to re-learn it all again. My projects page is www.davidleobonner.com

Jodels, all Michel Colomban designs particularly the Cri Cri. Also the George Pereira Osprey II. I am particularly interested in all wood or wood carbon designs. I am currently investigating how to best design root fittings for a UD carbon spar on a removable wing.
