  • I thought flying a big 7" quad with big 2806 high torque low Kv motors would be a nice pleasure cruise... I couldn't have been more wrong. This thing is an insane wild horse beast - it's like going from a Honda Accord with Automatic transmission to a nitros oxide injected Funny Car dragster with parachute.

Picture giving a 16 year old a 450hp Shelby Cobra at Driver's ed, and saying "Just stomp the gas, it will go...!"
In the five years I've been here, I have never seen a single person here finish an airplane, and post a video flying it for the first time.

Got my brake lights on the trailer wired up today; thanks to soldering and heat shrink tubing every connection, all worked on 1st try.
Figured out why I smell like welding when I go to bed; it's because I wipe my clouded up welding lens off with my t-shirt.
Thanks Choppergirl, but I thought it was going to be some Me 163 Komet stuff. Interesting piece though. Thx. I'll check it all when I get a wi fi link.
Interesting - I had grandparents on both sides of the war too. My English grandmother built gun turrets for Lancasters and my German grandfather was drafted towards the end of the war and spent time in trenches on the Russian front. Both survived.
