Tell me why this won't work !

How can we tell you it Won't work...when it obviously DOES ? the hard part about hydrogen peroxide tip rockets is the "Rocket Grade fuel" its expensive and hard to find. the next hardest part is the swivel needed at the rotor ...although it can be purchased, so I'm told, I don't know where that...

    New rotorcraft concepts

The Nitrous Oxide Rocket tips work very good for a BPH... a few guys have tried them, no reverse torque to have to counter and in general they work very good, the only problem is obtaining the fuel as "Rocket Grade" Nitrous Oxide is hard to get and very expensive when you can get it... so that...

    Proposed Homemade Rotor Blade

Exactly davh12 ! I wound up making laminated SOLID rotors with a 1/8"x2"x10' steel spar under the leading edge curve to balance the blades cord wise. .... I made the rotor blades from hardwood sub flooring that has NO VOIDS in it, glued the strips together with Weldwood Resin glue and sanded...

Tell me why this won't work !

tell you why it won't work ? I can't because it works very well ! they arn't the only one that has done that. I saw a 4 place gyro that was vertical takeoff or "Jump take off" as they called it that was for sale comercially.... its price was unreal as most aircraft are but still the concept...

Pie-row: the Wankel would be the best choice... but you have to have over $5,000 to purchase even a smaller one, I don't know what the 50hp version costs though, probably $8,000 or more. but YES it will take that kind of power to weight ratio to get a backpack heli off the ground....O planned...

    New rotorcraft concepts

Herr Shoffmans Back pack helicopter is indeed a Wonder and a marvelous piece of engineering... its Very expensive engine, along with its Made to order counter rotating props do indeed get him aloft.... but just barely! he went to a 2000ASL field and could not get out of ground effect... where at...

    Homemade rotor

Tyc... the only back filling I did on the screw holes was reson from the fiberglass covering... .... I did consider testing the blades to distruction but then I'ed have to make more blades....! so I didn't consider it very long! I will mount the blades on the rotor hub bar with no pitch and spin...

    Homemade rotor

Your So Right Don... there is a bunch more to it than I mentioned....that should go without saying, but I guess its best to be SURE eh ? hehehehe cord wize balance on my rotor blades is acomplished by the 1/8"x2"x 10ft long metal strip added to the inderside of the leading edge... screwed in...

    Homemade rotor

I did Ron , but I can't remember what it was...and I'ed be just guessing if I said... their heavier than the old ones butnot by that much... guessing at 15 to 20lbs each blade... ...the blades are 8" wide 10ft long Asemetrical profile ...meaning the bottom side is flat. ... ... Bob......
