Real nice airplane Topaz! There was a Chief tied down at our airport for 20+ years! That was before I started my Hummel Bird project. I wanted to buy and restore it but the owner wouldn't even talk about selling. Sad thing was it sat there until it just melted down to a junk pile! I got my license in a Citabria 7ECA...I have a soft spot for Champs! And I have to hand prop too,go figure.LOL

Pretty bird, Topaz. I have been chasing two around my area, both owners are afflicted with the "Can't let it go" virus....both are priced, but high so they can tell momma," Yes, dear, it is for sale." One is sitting at a local small strip, wandered around until I encountered the Wife, she told me it was for sale, but mentioned a price that was a third of his asking price. When he heard what she had said, the fight started. Have yet to get an updated price. Same guy has a half-stripped Cessna 140 under an AL car cover behind his house. His son is going to rebuild it he says, as soon as he can cut back on his work. In other words, never. Sigh...
