Circa 1979 LazAir Series 1

series-1-gliding.jpg

lazair-series-1.jpg

37ft wingspan, 12:1 glide ratio, minimalist design, with two 5hp motors, ruddervator

From: Series 1 – LazairInfo.com

Also, in gorgeous Baby Blue... 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7

What is old, becomes new again...
when you throw lots of money at it in the form of $batteries$

At 350 lbs, too heavy to be an ultralight, unless you finagle the battery storage allowance
but the original Lazair was very light at 210 lbs
