My son is building a Long EZE and is having a problem acquiring some UNI spar cap material. As a former composite builder I have been giving advice when asked. He’s working on the problem from Florida and me from Louisiana. He has finished the wings and ready for center section and canard work. The UNI had temporarily not been available from Aircraft Spruce but later been made available again. However, there was an issue with this newest material maybe not being the original (plans specified) material. Aircraft’s Spruce response was that this new material will “probably work.” Given the importance of this material, “probably work” is not an acceptable response. Wicks supposedly has the correct material but it is twice the price of Aircraft Spruce. He needs about 300 feet. Also tried Cozy Girls but they won’t return phone call. (Covid 19 .
?). Need some help here. Thanks
