I just took down a wood antenna mast (ham radio) that has been up maybe 20 years. The antenna part itself was made of 17 gauge aluminum electric fence wire. Although the wood had deteriorated the aluminum wire was still in good shape, although it had the typical aluminum tarnish.

Anyone know what alloy it would be? Amazingly strong and durable.
