I've been looking around and decided I'll probably start building an aerobatic homebuilt in a year or so when my schedule really frees up. I've so far picked between the dr109 and the Laser Z-2300 by york but I can't really distinguish between either. It looks like they use the same engines, same specs, same weight, etc? If anyone has had experience with one (or both) could you pitch in? I live in Central Colorado so if anyone knows where both might be near me I'd like to check it out.

The only thing I've thought about was that the visibility out of the DR109 at least on takeoff might be better than the Z-2300 because of the lower wing. I was also thinking about single place as well but I know 'less' about the Dr107 vs the Z-200. Also if ones significantly easier to build that's also a huge plus, however from what I've seen the z-2300 uses some composites, but its not a drastic difference and I'm used to composites anyway.

By the way I'm right at 5'11" so I should fit in all of them (dr107/109, 200/2300) right?

Thoughts?
