According to many online sources about clouds, typical altitudes are between 20,000 to 40,000 ft, unless it is a dark grey storm cloud at 6,000 ft. When I look up at them, and especially watch them move, they don't look that high to me. I would guess 10,000 to 15,000 ft. Has anyone here flown on a day when there were some fluffy white clouds out, and climbed to an altitude where you were looking down on them a bit? If so, what altitude where you at? If you fly at 8,000 ft, do they look just as high above you as they did when you were on the ground? Thanks.
