An interesting slideshow of some of the numerous attempts to create a flying car. Included are some recent vaporware designs that that do things like ..."fly at high altitudes and high speeds and carry four people and don't require pilot's licenses..." Unproven hype, much of it. Time will prove it right or wrong, and if history is any indication...

Even Boeing tried it. And the US military is now trying it. In my opinion, if anyone can do it, they will. With endless tax dollars.
