Hey everyone, I'm looking to get a new composite project started. I remember coming across a forum which seems to have disappeared, called canardzone. They had a long ez clone called the openez, with downloadable plans and what not. Does anyone know what became of the site or the plans? Canardzone appears to have gone offline sometime in the last few months. Are there other forums which would provide builder support for that or other rutan designs?
Googling around brought me here, and to www.opencanard.com which seems like it might be a continuation of that clone, but the site doesn't look fully complete. Any thoughts?
Would a good alternative be to buy a LongEZ project that was started, or is the questionable build quality of an unknown builder enough to warrant starting from day 0 with either the openez or trying to find used plans?
