I have been test flying the prototype of my Red Tail Hawk sailplane design. From the testing, a question about the performance of the laminar flow wing has risen. That is: What drag difference might there be between the epoxy primer (like a satin paint) painted surface on the wings as it is being flown now, compared to a slick, final painted, maybe waxed, surface it will have for next seasons flying?
Any thoughts, or references on the web I could quickly find that address this issue? I haven't had much luck finding any yet.
Thanks in advance,
Jerry Booker
