Hi, according to the ULF-1 Forum there should be one or two ulf-1 projects in Austria. Or is there any project close to Austria?
I learned that airworthiness could cost as much as 2300€ (that is without any building or testing) and in Germany its even worst. There the DaeC used to be in charge and costed only a few hundred bucks, but since lately they can`t do it any more, they suggested to go to France or any other European place for hat matter, until the issue gets resolved .The plane has a material value of under 2000€, nobody would spend anything on any certificate, as long as it`s built right. Things might get lots cheaper if the design was already approved once in Austria, but I believe ts not.
Actually, the EU is about as fa as the Us was when every state had ts own Aviation administration- 100 years ago.
What this leads to we see on the Austrian design Diamond twin. You can now buy a certified aircraft, who`s engines both stop running , when you operate the landing gear, with a dead battery. The engines have dual ignition.
