In research of a wooden composite high altitude aircraft project I am looking for best quality cork bark producers who would sell them as flat sheets/boards. A brief description of the cork bark as a material can be seen in the following videos:

The material needed is the best quality with excellent parallel grain, preferrable good thickness of at least 40mm sheets/boards/planks or whatever it is called in such form.
This is for easier visualization what cork bark sheet boards look like:
The extruded, expanded or bonded cork bits material is useless for this application, only the full cork bark sheets are good.
Apparently there are some good producers in Portugal, Spain, Sardegna, Corsica and Sicily so any info about where to buy or contact details would be highly appreciated.
More about cork if needed:
"Cork - Fly Angler's OnLine"
The other thing needed is information about all aircraft/spacecraft which used cork for either thermal or structural insulation in high altitude and/or high speed flight. The early space modules, the old WWII aircraft and German/Russian pre war aircraft/rocket projects, any specific area where cork properties were tested/described in a flying aircraft/body. Wood/cork composites or other wood composite combinations like the Horten era carbon fiber addition to wooden structural parts. Or behavior of cork cores in composite airframes for stratospheric aircraft. If you stumbled upon some information where cork was used in an aircraft, please share. Pointing out to videos about cork cores layups in modern aircraft like the DynAero is also interesting, anything about using cork in building aircraft or similar structures which might interest others homebuilders.
