I can probably examine the wood myself and know whether it will work or not... I work with Fir and Spruce a lot and really like Fir better... tonally I like it better too... but I haven't been able to find any suppliers of Fir that is aircraft certified? Same with ply. I've read everything I can find on acceptable plywood and it it seems it's pretty much up to the builder although I like birch myself... no voids and all that... Thoughts? Just like guitar wood, aircraft wood can get unnecessarily expensive... :ponder:
