I've started building my Acro Sport Pober Junior Ace. I chose it for two reasons: 1) Ease of Construction. This is my first homebuilt project, 2) I wanted something that has roots in the early homebuilt movement. The Junior Ace started as the Corben Junior Ace from the Wichita based Corben Airplane Company of the 1930's. In the 1950's, Paul Poberezny bought the Corben holdings and started selling plans for the Baby Ace, then the Junior Ace.
