For longerons, where is the best place to put a scarf joint?

In the cabin area, where there is other structure to support it---bulkheads and inner/outer skin (but would be curved)? The tail where it is straight (but less support, just outside skin)?

Should the scarf joint be glued (T-88 epoxy, actually) before steam bending or after?

I was thinking about laminating 3 thinner pieces for the longerons, so the 3 scarf joints could be at different locations.

Which way should be scarf joint be orientated? Vertical or horizontal?
