When tightening fasteners that sandwich a plywood (or any other wood) member between two metal fittings or washers, what is the guidance on how much torque to use that will produce a compression that won't crush the wood fibers but prevent movement under loads?
Is there any technical reference for this guidance? I didn't see anything in AC43.13.
Thanks,
Kevin
